Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a gentle, yet highly effective all encompassing system of medicine. It uses naturally occurring substances in the form of homeopathic remedies to stimulate the body’s innate own healing power. The results, although gentle, can be powerful and long lasting. It is suitable for everyone, even sensitive patients, from pregnancy, childhood and adolescence to adulthood and older age. Because homeopathy treats the whole person and not just the outer manifestation of the problem it effectively treats every kind of ailment from back pain to migraines to anxiety to insomnia..the list is endless.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the premise that the feet are an anatomical representation of the body. Different organs in the body can be affected by applying pressure to different parts of the feet. Our feet can tell much about our state of health and reflexology has shown to be an effective treatment for sinus problems, digestive disorder, back pain, sleep disorders and so much more. A reflexology therapist can get an sense of any energy imbalance in the body by examining the colour, look and feel of the feet. By using precise hand and finger techniques a reflexologist can help improve circulation, reduce stress and encourage a patient’s own healing systems.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is part of a complete system of medicine, which has been practiced in China for many thousands of years. It is used to diagnose and treat illness, prevent disease and improve well being and can focus on physical, psychological or emotional problems. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body’s motivating energy (Qi) moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels (meridians) beneath the skin that connect the interior and exterior of the body, and the internal systems to each other. When Qi becomes blocked or disrupted, illness can result. Acupuncture aims to bring all systems into balance by inserting fine needles into the meridians. It can also be used to complement conventional medicine. Acupuncture can be used to treat many different problems such as skin problems, infertility, asthma and many more.

Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing technique in which a Reiki master (who has undergone formal training in this healing art) uses gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy (what’s known in Reiki as “life force energy”) through the client’s body to reduce stress and promote healing. Reiki is a form of complementary and alternative medicine; there’s evidence it can reduce daily stress. Most people feel very relaxed and calm during a Reiki treatment, and many fall asleep during the process. Reiki is linked to a range of physical and emotional health benefits, including better sleep, improved mood, and pain relief in published studies. Research suggests Reiki helps the body return to a state of relaxation, which allows it to potentially better heal from damage brought on by stress, injury, or disease. There’s evidence that Reiki, used as a complementary therapy with conventional or mainstream medical care, can help people recover after surgery and ill health.

Hopi Ear-Candling

Traditional Ear candles are an ancient Indian ritual which help to calm the mind, soothe your head and ears while also releasing new energies. The flame from the candle causes vibration waves in the candle, which in turn gently massage the ear drum. This massaging evokes  a feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ear, forehead and sinuses. It is overall a thoroughly relaxing, enjoyable treatment. It can also encourage clearing of the nasal passages. This in turn can lead to an improved sense of smell, especially if your nose has previously been blocked.

Benefits of Hopi ear-candling:

  • Treats sore throats and hay fever
  • Eases rhinitis and sinusitis
  • Reduces catarrh and soothes asthma
  • It stimulates blood and energy flow
  • It regulates pressure in ears and head
  • It aids relaxation in conditions of anxiety and stress
  • It stimulates the lymphatic system
  • It eases headaches including migraines
